CT/CTA

Breast CTComputed Tomography (CT) uses special x-ray technology to obtain images from different angles around the body, and through computer processing of the information, creates cross-section views of the body.  CT imaging can be used to image almost any part of the body, including lungs, bone, soft tissue and blood vessels.

CT examinations often require the use of contrast materials to enhance or characterize certain tissues or blood vessels.  At PCI, we use a non-ionic contrast agent to reduce the risk of allergic reaction.

CTA BoneOur state of the art CT scanner uses spiral (or helical) CT technology that provides a fast scanning process to obtain large amounts of information.  The speed of our patients, as it makes the patient visit less time consuming.
